Raffle Rules

  1. Georgia Council on Substance Abuse is registered with the State of Georgia, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, and will comply with provisions of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (O.C.G.A. § 16-12-22.1) as related to raffle license requirements. GCSA raffle license#:GCS-2006.
  2. You MUST be 18 years of age or older to purchase a raffle chance. You may be asked for proof of age to purchase a chance.
  3. Raffle chances will be sold as follows:
    $15 = 1 chance
    $100 = 8 chances
    $250 = 20 chances + free “Race” T-Shirt
  4. Raffle chances are on sale from August 31, 2006 – October 28, 2006
  5. Raffle chances may be purchased at www.raceforresults.com or by contacting one of our 11 Racers, a.k.a. Prevention Partners (see website for contact list or call GCSA at 404-523-3440 and ask for area raffle sale locations)
  6. The raffle prize drawing will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at approximately 5:30 p.m. as part of RaceTown Atlanta at Centennial Park, Atlanta, GA in the Southern Co. Amphitheater. Raffle chance purchasers need not be present to win.
  7. Prizes will be ranked according to estimated retail value. The most valuable will be awarded to first raffle chance ticket drawn. This process will continue until such time as all prizes have been distributed. Raffle prize list is posted on the website and will be updated regularly.
  8. Raffle prize winners are required to report prize winnings as income for tax purposes and are responsible for payment of all federal, state and local taxes on prizes. Georgia Council on Substance Abuse is required to file 1099’s and to report prize winnings to the IRS.
  9. Raffle prize winners will be asked to complete IRS form W-9, prior to the release of any prizes.
  10. The purchase of a raffle chance is not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution.
